Close to departure points for Samilia and Tachai IslandsThis may have been a very beautiful resort in its day but those days are gone. This hotel is in need of major cosmetic work. The staff is friendly but very sparse. Much of the beauty of this place has decayed over time. Would not recommend this hotel. อ่านต่อ

Quiet, great swimming pool, nice roomswe have been staying here couple of times during the low season mainly because of the nice location, good quality rooms and because it is very quiet. a great place for relaxing, just floating at the swimming pool and walking at the beach. beach can be a bit dirty at certain times, but that's the case with all the beaches in the area if they are not frequently cleaned. breakfast was very good this time compared to many other resorts and hotels we have stayed. last time when we were the only guests it wasn't great. deluxe sea view rooms are very cheap and good value for money during the low season. resort needs some general renovation, but is still in ok condition. อ่านต่อ

Great location and roomswe were returning customers and our last visit was about a year ago. location is really quiet and as we have always visited in the low season, there haven't been many people. we really enjoyed the swimming pool, even pool bar was not open. a lot of renovation going on (which the hotel clearly needs), but it didn't bother us that much. one issue left a really bad feeling about our whole stay. we had booked a beachfront villa as we previously stayed in a garden villa and this time wanted to try the beachfront villa as it looked nicer. we paid a bit extra for the beachfront villa compared to the garden villa. on our arrival we noticed that all beachfront villas were under renovation and we had to stay in garden villa. hotel staff didn't offer any other explanation than we are renovating and that we are staying in beachfront villa when we clearly were not. if they would have told us upon arrival that beachfront villas were not available and had made an effort to compensate this somehow it would have been ok, but simply denying the whole situation and not offering any understanding was very disappointing. there was no language barrier with the staff as we both speak thai. if you are planning to book beachfront villa during this low season, i would go with the garden villa instead as they will most likely still be renovating the rooms until the high season. deeply disappointed in the staff at otherwise great resort. 2 points for the staff performance instead of 1 as restaurant staff were very helpful and professional. อ่านต่อ

large room, use of scooters , the locals on the beaches and in the townWow, what a shock this hotel was, we stayed here for 4 nights over the first week of January 2012. This hotel is completely run down and not worth a penny we paid for it. The condition of the building, grounds and facilities are dismal and it is quite clear this hotel is running or has run out of business and no money is being spent on fixing it up. There is minimal staff about with some showing little to no enthusiasm towards their job or feeling hospitable towards its guests, for example 3 staff members sat at the concierge table watching us carry our 3 suitcases out to our airport taxi on departure, we think primarily because we did not use their taxi service. The pool was large but the surrounding area around it especially at the end near the beach was just miserable to lie around, looking over the poor excuse of a restaurant/bar area (staff just sitting around killing time), uninviting spa building and masses of concrete. The beach surrounding the hotel is not a place you want to spend any time except just going for a walk. Breakfast was a dismal affair, I think one would eat at their own risk when touching anything that came out of the hot food selection. The rooms although large in size and clean had stains on the roof from old leaks and the towels were thread bare. We did not want to spend a penny more than what we had paid for the room so we used the cheap scooter rental at the hotel to stay away from the resort each day discovering the secluded beaches on the island and eating out in at the little town near the ferry where the locals were extremely friendly. อ่านต่อ

Great villa room, quiet, swimming poolwe visited this hotel at the end of the low season and it was really quiet. only one other couple who we didn't see until the next morning. stayed at garden villa and the room is huge! noisy jacuzzi in the bathroom. had problems with living room air condition, but it was very quickly fixed by staff. beach is not great, but swimming pool area is. still nice to walk along the beach. staff was very friendly and nice. thai massage was a lot better than in many other places and not too expensive. great low season discount. great getaway from busy phuket. will definitely go back! อ่านต่อ

Great location, very reasonably priced, friendly staffThe hotel is nice and has great access to the wonderful beach. We stayed in the "Deluxe Seaview" (ground floor) rooms but must say it is quite a stretch to label them "seaview" - you can catch a glimpse of the ocean if you stand on your toes. Beautiful, clean and well situated with amazing staffAndaman Princess is a grand hotel in a lovely location. We stayed in a lovely garden villa the size of Luxembourg (bedroom, living room, huge bathroom with pool-sized jacuzzi, two terraces with sun loungers...). On a miles-long sandy beach and yet close to the pier and its restaurants, the hotel is in a great location. Peaceful, quiet and very beautiful with good prices on mini bar and room service menu, unlimited in-room movies, gorgeous swimming pool, snooker table, kids playroom, spa... But the best thing about the hotel was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. From changing a pillow to giving us a lift to the pier for dinner to arranging transfers and ensuring our forward accommodation, they were unfailingly cheerful, courteous, helpful and charming. อ่านต่อ

big room, great bed, nice balconya real pleasure to arrive at this 4-star hotel after a grimy weekend at the ksnp. the staff organized a boat for us from naam khem port to the island, where we were picked up in a golf cart. check-in was welcoming and professional. the outdoor restaurant was super and good service. all staff spoke english. we were reluctant to leave after a swim at the nearby beach and at the large pool. very good western breakfast too. อ่านต่อ

Breathtaking sunsets, nice breakfast buffets with wonderful fresh fruits of the season and an omelette/pancake/waffles station, huge pool and nice pool area, large and quiet roomsMosquitos (bring repellent and if sensitive like me also bring some antihistamin!)This is a quiet, green and beautiful island with relatively little development and with a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere due to the outstandingly friendly native population. The hotel has the potential to be truly excellent but needs a thorough facelift (which will in fact happen May - September 2010) and somewhat more trained staff. Spacious rooms, very quite, and good valueHotel should hire more thai staffthe hotel which is on an island (not as small as you might think),is a just a short 10 min fery ride across from the main land. i took a car which many wouldn't, but that was only 150 baht, so they don't try rip the tourist off. the hotel was brilliant! there is also a little bar called funny bar just down the road, that is well worth a visit, it's owner makes fantastic cocktails, and really looks after his patrons. อ่านต่อ

Great pool, friendly staff, beautiful accomodationbit of a hard sell for the excursionsThis is our second visit to the hotel but our first with our 18 month old daughter. The staff were incredibly friendly, as you expect in Thailand, and very helpful with the baby. The breakfast buffet was superb, but I thought the pool bar was overpriced so we didn't eat there much (plenty of great restaurants about 10 mins walk away anyhow). I was worried that Koh Kho Khao would have lost its charm since we were there in 2008 but it is still a fishing village at heart. Get in quick to enjoy it at its best though! อ่านต่อ
