This resort is situated 10mins walk from Long Beach and 15mins from town (relaxed walk). It was perfect for our family as we were away from the crowds but still close enough to get there to buy supplies. We stayed in one of the top huts (Makmai 6). It is up quite a few steps so be prepared for a climb everytime. But trust me the view is worth it. We never had aircon but the fans provided ample cooling. They do seem to be building more huts so it can look a bit like a building site in places. The breakfast was standard as in many of the resorts around (fruits,, cereals, eggs, pancakes, Thai rice or noodles and sausages). The suppers we had were good and large portions. We hired one of the resort 'guides' to take us snorkeling for the day. I was initially sceptical as he never spoke a word of English but he sure knew some incredible snorkeling spots despite rougher seas and it turned out to be one of our favourite days of the whole holiday. We booked only one night in advance and when we realised we wanted to stay more it was too late, the hotel was fully booked! But the staff were really helpful and found an option for us. Amazing view and interior. Perfect for those seeking solitude and calm rest. Lots of families with children. At least three beaches nearby. The only problem is that there's no exchange booth in the area and a 3% commission for a credit card pay, so you have to go to the village, but it's a 20-minute walk along the beach so no problem.อ่านต่อ

There is snorkeling right at the resorts beach, the sand is so soft and beach is very clean, rooms were very nice! And it’s only about a 25 minute walk to town or a quick 5 minute boat trip 100bht per person, boat doesn’t always run though, just keep that in mind! Some members of the staff were not very helpful but in general is okay. They have all drinks in the bar HOT, there was no way to have a cold beer or a cold bottle of water. A small can of Chang costs 70 Baths and they are unable to have it cold. Finally I took cans from my room's fridge and that was a lot nicer. Our room was quite expensive and no air conditioner, I knew while booking but I thought that ventilator could be good but it was not, it was like putting a twister inside the room, super noisy and you could not regulate power very well. The one on the selling was too far from the bed so I could not sleep very well due to the hot. On the other side, the private beach they have is amazing and we really enjoyed that. I would come back, but I would get a room with air for sure.อ่านต่อ

This resort was very nice but getting to and from is not easy with luggage. They met us with a boat at the pier upon arrival but only have boats a few times a day so plan accordingly. There is a trail you can walk to town in about 25 mins but with luggage would not be easy. Upon checkout we had our bags to go for an island tour. Went to the lobby and asked for a boat but they would not get us a boat just said we missed it. They did keep our luggage at the front desk for the day but we had to pay for a boat to go pick up afterwards then again back to town. We (a group of 4) got to the restaurant 20 mins before it closed as well as another couple were not served. We had to walk to another resort to get something to eat. Due to this if your planning on completely staying at this resort I feel this info is extremely important. The secluded beach was very nice as well.อ่านต่อ

Amazing exotic location with amazing views...but...it was a climb just to get to rooms, some trails were actually dangerous, and my bungalow did not have A/C. So was not a nice sleep with just fans blowing. For some that might be ok for the views and uniqueness of the place.อ่านต่อ

What a beautiful location and such comfy bungalows, it exceeded our expectations. We booked a standard room so I wasn’t expecting great comfort but I was wrong. Excellent quiet air con, comfy beds with wonderfully soft duvets and pillows. Chairs and a hammock on the balcony, fresh water in the fridge each day and all the little details like the large covered water bowl outside your door for cleaning feet, decorative rugs in the bungalow and on the balcony. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, the breakfast was excellent. Previous reviews had indicated the walk into town was arduous, we didn’t think that at all, an easy, 15-20 min stroll on a concrete path all the way in. Also Long beach a couple of minutes walk in the other direction. We wanted to stay longer but they were booked up so be warned!อ่านต่อ

It took us about 30 minutes walking to get to the centre of town (near ferry terminal). Bring study shoes or sandals to get through 200m of a forest path with stepping stones.
We stayed in the older part of the resort (room 4), which has some land settling of the bungalow. So the foundation was tilted to one side and it was necessary to use the lock on the door to keep the door to the bungalow closed. It can be a problem if you're a couple locking each other out of the room. It was very tiny but had a great balcony with a hammock and space to dry any laundry. It does have its own washroom, but to wash your hands and take a shower, you had to go outside (hence the problem with locking your partner in/out of the bungalow). Bring bug spray!
It is still a bit of a walk from the old part of the resort to the newer part where the reception is through some more uneven ground if luggage and disabilities are a concern. Free hourly boats to town depart reception area. 100 THB to return.อ่านต่อ

We stayed here for one night and found the place to be absolutely stunning. The beach is perfect.. Small and private.. Food was also amazing and priced appropriately. We were also given a free room upgrade which was a cherry on top!
All services offered by this place are five star in quality. Highly recommended!
A couple of points to note: the beach is a bit rocky during low tide. Also, you can avoid booking ferry tickets from the resort as they charge a premium.อ่านต่อ

Nice view, amazing private beach, traditional bungalow, best services (boat trip, free testing, breakfast, welcoming, pleasant gift...).
Perfect if you are looking for paradise, not in the city but at walking distance if you want to enjoy night life.
Only 4* for the location due to several boats crossing in front, but not a issue for me. Everything else 5*!

We were very pleased to learn that we got a free room upgrade upon arrival. Our new room was STEPS from the beach with a partial ocean view! the private beaches were nice, the food was very good and not nearly as overpriced as the main part of town, and the staff was very friendly. Great spot in the jungle away from the noisy part of town- but close enough for a pleasant, but rugged, walk into town.อ่านต่อ
