price, nice staff, not touristicWe stayed at Water Palm resort for 5 Days and were actually looking for something cheap and away from the major tourist spots. We got a very good value for the money. The room was nice and clean, the free wi-fi was good, the guy at the reception and the cleaning lady were very helpful and friendly. It was a quiet hotel in a quiet location, with almost no Western tourists. There were some Asian families but in general we were pretty much by ourselves at the pool ;) The hotel is close (5min with tuk-tuk) to the Thai Life Hotel and Resort and their extremely nice and quiet beach. The guy taking care of the hotel just called ThaiLife and we got a tuk-tuk to the beach and were picked up in the evening (200 t baht including the "entrance" fee for the beach). The hotel pool was small, but very well-kept. It was clean and the water temperature was good. Child-friendly. What we did not like: there was absolutely nothing at the reception, it was not even like a real reception. No breakfast options, so we either bought some fruit and yoghurt and ate that on the balcony or went to the lady running a food place 10min away, for a meal (brunch). The bed was extremely hard and the pillows killed my neck.. But we heard that it is quite normal at Thai hotels. Since the hotel is practically situated in a lake, there are lots of mosquitos at dawn. One of the biggest drawbacks was that the staff including the hotel manager did not speak English (except a few words) which made it extremely hard to communicate. We will definitely return there next year, especially now when we met the hotel owner a very nice gentlemen. Thai who has lived and worked in Germany for many years and speaks perfect German, which was perfect for me :) We could actually communicate hehe อ่านต่อ

The manager spoke good EnglishThe hotel took quite a while to get to and there's not a lot nearby unless you have a car or a bike. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable and there was no hot water for a shower. The grounds are a bit scrubby and not much to look at. Stay in the resort and relaxingIf you come by bus, I recommend to contact hotel to pick you up. Big room with balcony to the big palm pond. Some insects was discovered, but I have seen them also in other hotels. Good quality of infrastructure (TV with movie channel in English). Clean room. Great lobby. Staff very friendly. The menu list is not long, but the food was good. I would recommend this hotel for people who wants to relax and only stay in the resort. อ่านต่อ

Good place to relax, quiet.friendly resort, new and clean. this is a perfect place to stay if you like to get away from the crowd. you have to go into town if you like to eat the local food. but this is not far away only 10 min., so it is not a big deal. staff so friendly and helpful, love to stay there again soon. อ่านต่อ

Accueil piscine chambreNous étions surprises de voir la grandeur de l'hôtel et de voir qu'on était les deux seules dans tout l'établissement. Nous sommes restés que 2h des 3nuits de prévu car on était loin du centre de khao lak et nous ne pouvions rien faire à pied...
