I recommend this hotel for thouse who love sea, sailing and boating and who like to stay in remote place, far from overdeveloped tourist areas. This hotel located at the south of island, in very remote area. Songthaews from piers go to this hotel only 3 times per day (100 baht), taxis could be very expensive, but you can rent motorbike at the ferry pier and drive from pier to hotel by yourself (cheap and fun). This is stilt hotel (it stand on water, raised on pilings, around 50 meters from shore), with nice views from balcony, where you can relax and enjoy seaviews. Hotel offers free kayak boat renting and (expensive) charter boat tours around nearby islands. Food in hotel not cheap, but great quality (tom yum was tasty and with generous amount of shrimps). You can find also other food options slightly outside of hotel. Rooms quite comfortable for this kind of accomodation, with pictures of yahts and boats on the walls. Area very quite and very far from noisy life (25km to Centerpont Pier, 40km to White Sand Beach).อ่านต่อ

I have been to kho Chang many times before and this hotel was far from tourist the best palce I have stayed and live close to yacht club and fisher man village . I will definitely come back to visit kha Chang again. I booked type of room in the sea and island panorama view. The owner there were friendly. The room at hotel was perfect clean; and night time a lot of wind flow not need to turn on Air-condition. Loved to stay at this place.อ่านต่อ

Never felt more compelled to leave a review. Come here if you want to get scolded constantly by an angry old racist. First we booked and he said the agoda price is wrong that it would cost more. The guy is a guard dog that you have to walk on eggshells around. Clearly going senile, asked for things multiple times, which he forgot, and when i took it upon myself to grab it (were talking about an electric tea kettle here by the way) was treated like an animal and told “most people would ask first instead of just take”.. ya think? Made multiple comments expressing his dislike for Chinese (in front of my Chinese girlfriend no less) I didn’t care when he’d pull his grumpy old man crap on me, but as soon as he started directing that energy towards her, shouting, muttering stuff about her under his breath in German or Dutch, we had a real problem. From that point on he made sure the remaineder of our stay there was extremely uncomfortable. Shame too, place has potential to be incredible.อ่านต่อ

Like so many family-run places in developing areas, you want to like the place and generally do. I mean, I was actually pretty happy with everything till I got the bill. The first night I booked through Agoda, and we liked it and extended our stay a few more days - supposedly for 1,000 baht/night. The daughter of the owners, who is the only one that speaks English, said she'd email me the bill and I could pay online. She neglected to mention it was through PayPal. In itself, that's not an issue. But I know from personal experience, PayPal tends to take a significant cut - which evidently they passed on, with out informing you upfront. Then they add in taxes and tips and I don't know what else -- the bill was vague -- and all in all, everything was 14-28% higher than quoted. For instance, that 1000 baht room? It was billed at 1120 per night, with 166/night for an extra bed (it was a Deluxe room that came with a double and twin bed anyway). So 28% higher. They don't clean daily.อ่านต่อ

My wife and I stayed here last month ad we have only positive things to say about it. It is situated on a beautiful and quiet bay on the less developed Eastern side of the island.
While it may be too remote for some it was perfect for us. We had a lovely spacious room on the hillside right by the pool with great views of the bay. Also outside the room was a nice jungle walking path, perfect for walking our dog.
There are other rooms literally on the water that looked very nice too, but weren't suitable for us as pet owners.
The food was very good and Dieter and his staff were gracious and welcoming hosts. The owner was extremely helpful about local sites to go and explore.
The resort also rented us a small boat for one of the days at a very reasonable cost. Great for exploring the lovely islands and beaches in the bay. A real highlight.
This is certainly a great place for those who are looking for quiet and are more interested in exploring the area than going out for a big night.
It is worth noting this resort is waterside, but is not on a beach, which may not suit some.
It was, however, perfect for our needs and comes highly recommended.อ่านต่อ
