Highly recommend if you like to be close to nature and enjoy the jungle sounds and views. We had an amazing time at La Cigale, enjoyed every moment! Tge place is jhst fantastic, different from all the beach houses and villas, with unique atmosphere and design, the house is kinda built in the rocks and trees. I would not recommend it for someone that is scared of jungle and small creatures that may come with it, you may feel uncomfortable. But if you know what you choose, you will be surprised how this place is much better than on the pictures! We chose the family villa and it was stunning, huge and cozy, suitable for long terms, as they have fully equipped kitchen, even the coffee machine, big closets, hot water, huge TV etc. The host was very nice and helpful, they can help you with transfer, bike rent, there's also a small restaurant in the property, and the place is not far from Sairee beach. The positives: Andre, the proprietor is a proper gentleman. Polite, helpful, and a pleasure to chat with. The room was fantastic. Nice view, private, cozy, and a super natural bathroom. The small touches did not go unnoticed. Free minibar, good soaps, and DVD selection were great. The negatives: Had a tough time with the staff. They don't speak English or Thai. I had to ask everyday for the room to be made up. Once, I came back and all the doors were left open! Yeah, there is a safe and it is a quiet area... But really? This is Thailand. อ่านต่อ

1) Large, nicely decorated room/patio integrated with nature, 2) close to beach and Sairee town, 3) wonderful staffLa Cigale is the perfect destination for Koh Tao travelers. It is 10 minutes' walk from Sairee town and five minutes from Sairee beach. The walk up to the units is steep. But for regular walkers it is not difficult. The room was magnificent. A very large bathroom was attached to the large bedroom. It had been built right into the surrounding rock and the shower was among ferns and orchids while still being private. Our unit had a very large patio, a kitchen, an espresso machine, and a hammock. It would be easy to entertain guests at the unit but with a small stream winding through the property, a constant flurry of passing butterflies, and other small jungle critters the balcony was a delight alone and in silence. There are only a handful of units on the property (four I think). And they are separated by a little distance and many trees. So we felt for this trip that we were on our own isolated jungle villa although only minutes from town and the beach. Andre gave us mobile phones on arrival with his phone number preprogrammed within. He was immediately available to help with everything from food delivery to tourist recommendations. He also gave us a very affordable rental of what of his motorbikes on the property. อ่านต่อ

Clean, interesting bathroom, quality fittingsSurprised by the location as although we choose to be away from the downtown noise, the hotel was too far from the beach, shops and restaurants for convenience. The walk up the steep hill back to room resulted in you being hot and sweaty with no pool to cool down in (5 min walk to beach, 15 min back) No food on site was inconvenient, mosquitoes were abundant possibly because of all vegetation around the rooms. Our room did not have any cooking facilities or expresso coffee machine but did have a kettle. We booked and paid in full for a week but moved after two days. อ่านต่อ

Best things were the view, the bathroom and the welcome we received when arriving This place is great. As soon as you arrive you're greeted by the super welcoming and friendly owner and his partner, we even got refreshing coconut drinks (very much appreciated after a day of travelling). The bathroom makes you feel like you're in a jungle, it's really built into the surrounding nature. View from the room is breathtaking and you can enjoy it from the comfort of the big balcony. It might be slightly more costly than you're average backbacker guesthouse, but honestly it's totally worth it. Really peaceful and relaxing place. Gorgeous and recommend it to everyone. อ่านต่อ

The rooms were unique and I loved how they're set in with the nature. They've done a good job with the landscaping. Settings, Comfort, LocationWe stayed at the Garden Villa for 4 days for New Year eve, and had a great time. The villa is spacious and charming in the middle of beautiful plants and trees. The photos on the site do not do justice to the settings. It was so nice that we actually ended up spending more time there than we usually do in our hotel in a vacation - relaxing on the beautiful terrasse was so nice that we did not want to go out. Great value added, team were extremelly friendly, and full of extremelly useful advice. Whatever we asked for, they provided quickly and with a smile. We loved the peace and quiet, the location and the beautiful balconyWe loved our stay, we had a fantastic time. Andre was charming and helpful. He even ordered pizza for us and arranged to have it delivered. The only thing that was a problem for me was the mosquitos. Despite wearing the strongest insect repellent, using plug-ins and lighting coils, I was bitten to death (this is obviously not the hotels fault!!). We had a couple of interesting experiences in the bathroom with a large spider and a foot-long lizard (no kidding!). If you are nervous about creepy crawlies, this may not be the place for you! อ่านต่อ

bathroom, view, romantic atmosphereWow what a view! Pulling the blinds open to a view of lush mountains and Sairee beach made every morning great. The Balinese semi outside styled garden was nothing I have experienced. Showering in a rainforest garden was very refreshing! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for the two of us too. It was a bit of a climb to the bungalow but the view made it all worth while. Only a 15 minute walk to the main streets and a five minute walk to Sairee Beach. I would definitely go again :D อ่านต่อ

solitude, service and the amenities. Relaxing, very pleasant, didn't see another person while there, only 4 villas and the owner supplied a mobile phone with pre programmed numbers for a reliable taxi. Also supplied a welcome pack with fresh fruit, milk, bread and eggs. If I needed anything they were very happy to oblige. Outdoor bathroom...wish I was still there. Excellent large room, amazing outdoor bathroom, lovely staffWow! This place is truly fantastic. Our room was more like a mini house, it was large, clean and beautifully designed. It's very private, and we felt so relaxed here. It's only a 10min stroll into town, which suited us perfectly. The best thing about this place is that it feels like your home away from home. Great scenery, helpful staff and marvellous natureVia strong ratings from we booked 3 nights at La Cigalle and were impressed and delighted. The Cigale is a sort of a refugium helping one to "escape" from the wired stress and loads of tourism - without beeing really at the end of the world. staff are friendly, helpfull and very nice people always at ones hand with good recommendations and really caring for their customers. The bungalows are spacious, comfortable and very special, I loved the open bathroom which was integrated into the scenery, with the natural rock and the tree. If one´s heading for a bit of downspeeding and disconnecting during his time in Thailand - her´s the place. One´s for sure, whenever I´ll come back to Koh Tao it´s going to be at La Cigale. Thanks to A staff for making our Koh Tao time unforgettable, Merry Christmas to you all. p.s.
