This place is beautiful, with gorgeous views from the pool/rooms overlooking the beaches and trees. The staff is very attentive and nice, the breakfast was good, the rooms are very nice as well. You get fresh towels and water every day which is awesome. Only “downside” is that it is located on a very steep hill, so to get up there is a little bit of a hike but it didn’t bother us at all and the view is totally worth it. It isn’t located in the “busy” part of town, but since Koh Tao is very small everything is a short distance. Would 100% stay here again!อ่านต่อ

I was there for 2 nights on 18-20 of May 2019. I was with my boyfriend and for the first time of me to be at Koh Tao and this place is really great of every kind! I chose this place cause of the view which is shown on agoda app. And that isn’t disappoint me at all. The view of this place is so beautiful but the way of coming here is quite tough and steep so the best way to come here is to ride a motorbike and please be careful of it. Staffs are fluent to speak english and very kind. About the room, i love it! Room is comfortable and wide and really looking good it’s like the bathroom is on upstair and bedroom is downstair and also the balcony you can see all the view of the sea here at your room. Breakfast is fine it is not buffet thing but you can choose ABF or others on the menu. The location of this hotel is super close to Chalok Bankao Bay, which would give you just a step to the beach and enjoy the tanning things! This was our favorite place that we stayed during our 2 1/2 week stay in Thailand! Gorgeous views of Chalok Bay. The staff members were so sweet and helpful, and our room was so beautiful with a big balcony. Would definitely recommend this place, especially to those wanting peace and solitude, slightly away from the main drag. We loved this place. The view from the pool area and our villa was incredible. It made for some relaxing evenings watching the sunset. Breakfast was huge and kept us full for a days or snorkeling and exploring the surrounding area. The coffee is great and we appreciate the refills. Our place was clean, air conditioning worked great, and the villa was spacious - a nice change from the sized rooms we had experienced throughout Thailand. This place seemed like the most bang for our buck after hours of research. We originally only planned on staying 5 days, but we extended our stay for another 5 for a total of 10 - THAT'S how much we liked it.อ่านต่อ

We had a fabulous stay at Chintakiri. The place is extremely well kept, clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. On the days that we had to leave early and could not have the complimentary breakfast, they would pack sandwiches for us. The view is gorgeous. The swimming pool is sparkling clean. The only recommendation I have is that they allow the pool to be open later in the evening as well. April was humid and hot and we would have loved to end the day with a dip in the pool.อ่านต่อ

The view, the friendliness of the staff and the rooms.A group of us stayed here for 7 nights. The hotel is up a steep hill, which is steep and not for the unfit (one of our group hated it). But the advantage of being up a steep hill is the view. Each room is a hut/bungalow/self contained unit, ours was large with a comfortable bed and a balcony that looked out towards the beach/sea. The restaurant also had fantastic views, serving a good breakfast and excellent cocktails. Loved the pool, although it doesn't look very big it is perfect for a dip to cool off and most of the time there was no one else there. I would stay here again.อ่านต่อ

Staff performance, pool and the viewWe stayed at the Chintakiri for 7 days in a superior room with our 8 month old son. The performance of the staff excellent; they were very helpful with our son. There are restaurants within walking distance, but the steep road up to Chintakiri is an obstacle. I pushed the stroller up the hill with our son in it, great exercise, but not for everybody. Taxis are very expensive on the island. The pool is a great relief after a walk up the hill, and the view is rewarding.อ่านต่อ

Friendly, lovely rooms, near the beachWe loved our stay at Chintakiri Resort. It was a little stretch for our budget but once we got there, we didn't care because it was just so good. Lovely cleverly designed rooms, all with stunning ocean views, small pool but with infinity edge and the stunning view too. Lovely staff, great and generous breakfast, quiet, private, gorgeous garden, other options a walk away if you don't want to eat at the restaurant (which was good but naturally pricier than local fare in less attractive locations). As a hotelier, I really thought about negatives at this resort and only came up with it is up t a steep but short hill, otherwise pretty spot on for the price. And it is hard to get a booking as they are so good!! We extended our stay and felt blissed out after being here.อ่านต่อ

Great views, good aircon, very helpful & friendly staffVery nice place. We had the family room with 2 ensuite double rooms and a lounge area.. Great views from private deck, great breakfasts cooked to order, friendly staff. The smalll pool also had a great view over the bay.
It is a steep (about 30%) driveway up to the resort, about 200m long, then 3-4 flights of steps up to your bungalow, so you need some fitness. We rented a scooter to get up the drive, but with 2 people on it, it couldn't get up the second half of the drive.
The owners could add a finishing touch to this otherwise quality place by buying a tuktuk or electric cart with a call buzzer, to take guests up and down the drive.อ่านต่อ

Large Bungalows, excellent foodWe enjoyed our stay at the Chintakiri throughout. Everything was excellent from the pick up at the ferry terminal to house keeping and food. I highly recommend to eat at the hotel since both the Thai and the Western food is excellent and very reasonably priced.
Please note that the hotel is up a hill. It has therefore no direct beach access and you also need to complete a very steep 'hike' when you come back from the beach or your dinner. But then you get very beautiful views from you balcony and everywhere else in the hotel.อ่านต่อ

We stayed 7 days in chintakiri and it was perfect. The room was always clean, same as the total hotel. The room is exactly as described with the pictures. The hotel itself is located in my eyes at the best area on the island. You reach the busy and loud habor area in 5-10 min with a scooter. Around the hotel you have lot of restaurants and shops were you can go by foot. The freedom beach you reach without a scooter in 2min. The hotel is located on a hill. So if have have no scooter you have to walk upwards every time which is for me the only small benefit. The breakfast was included and realy great. Lot of different options you can chose every mornig. I would recommend definetly the hotel and the loveful service staff. Good job!!!อ่านต่อ

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean with very nice views! It is a different experience as you stay a little far from the beaches but literally in the middle of the jungle. The breakfast is not buffet, you can order one item from their menu. The only downside is the location which is indeed on the top of the hill and for us, a young couple, it was very tiring to go all the way up. It’s recommended to rent a scooter to facilitate this. At first they pick u up on the pier and bring you to the resort, the staff is really helpful, they bring your luggage to your "house"! :) They also organize tours for you (snorkelling etc.). The accommodation was great, very clean (rommservice cleaning everyday and brought water, new towels..). The view from the balcony is stunning 🤗 Breakfast was also really good! The resort is based on a steep hill (we recommend you to rent a motorcycle) ;) The beautiful freedom beach is not far away. And u can use the pool!
