Tasteful, understated but uncompromising luxury. This structure is as much a museum, as it is a hotel. Traditional architecture, contemporary Thai art, and an eclectic mix of high end antiques show the passion of the designers for precious and rare things. A carefully studied garden keeps surprising with dramatic highlights. Multiple pools for privacy. The kitchen is also one of the best in Chiang Mai, with an intelligent Thai menu. One word of warning: the grounds are close to the road and under the flightpath of the nearby airport, so it's not always quiet. But the noise isn't enough to keep me from wanting to come back soon. my cousin and i have stayed at some 5 star resorts, but villa mahabhirom certainly made one of our favorites. we love everything here - from the room to the food and the service. all the staff are friendly and helpful .
